Living with Cerebral Palsy for the past 24 years, I have had plenty of movements where I had to restart my mind to think positively after going to doctors’ appointments and not receiving the best news over the years.
- Listen to music – Listening to music has always been my go-to when it comes to restarting my mind after something negative has happened in my situation, it gives me a chance to reflect on things.
- Listen to something positive– I like to listen to TED speeches on YouTube or some of my favorite disability advocates that I admire like Ed V. Roberts to motivate myself to overcome the issues that I’m facing at the time.
- Write down all your negative thoughts away in a notebook– This is something that I like to do after I had a negative experience with someone or something and after I’m done writing it, crumble it and never look back at it so that all the negative thoughts don’t stay programmed in your mind!
Ultimately resetting your mind could be difficult but all starts with you and the way you want to look at the situation like I wrote on my Facebook page a few days ago you can’t wait for others to motivate you YOU have to be the one that motivates yourself ~ Tylia L.Flores #Fridayvibes #Positivevibes #StompingonCP
