I recently saw a meme that one of my friends shared about her journey with chronic illness and that describes a person’s journey with chronic illness with a holiday classic the 12 days of Christmas, seeing the meme my friends share that meme gave me the inspiration to write my own version of the 12 days of Christmas about my life with Cerebral palsy :
On the first day of Christmas, my Cerebral palsy sent to me,
A headache and muscle spasms.
On the second day of Christmas, my Cerebral palsy sent to me,
Tight hamstrings and Dizziness,
On the third day of Christmas, my Cerebral palsy sent to me,
Five new specialists,
On the fourth day of Christmas, my cerebral palsy sent to me an unexpected seizure,
On the fifth day of Christmas, my cerebral palsy sent to me,
One hour of sleep,
On the sixth day of Christmas, my cerebral palsy sent to me,
Scissored legs
On the seventh day of Christmas, my Cerebral palsy sent to me,
A Swan finger
On the eighth day of Christmas, my cerebral palsy sent to me,
Tightness in my feet,
on the ninth day of Christmas, my Cerebral palsy sent to me
Nine bottles of Ibuprofen
