As a disability advocate for Cerebral palsy, I always get asked: How can we end the stigma surrounding Cerebral Palsy?
Believe it or not, the answer is quite simple and it begins with these three words: Educate, Inspire, and Advocate.
I strongly believe that these three things are the elements we need to end the stigma surrounding cerebral palsy in the way people view us as individuals.
Let’s start off by going into the first element of ending stigmas: education– I have learned that giving people the knowledge when it comes to Cerebral palsy is the best way to get your message across in your own unique way.
Now let’s get into the second part of ending the stigmas surrounding Cerebral palsy: inspiring – Now this could be a little tricky because you don’t want to promote Inspirational porn but you wanna show people that you live your life to the best of your ability despite the disadvantages you were given and that comes along the way when it comes to ending the stigmas.
Last but not least: Advocate – When it comes to this last element of ending the stigmas regarding Cerebral palsy think this is the most important one to be honest because the more and more we speak out share s our stories with the world then the stigmas will become less and less and it would be easier for people like us to live in our society.
