I recently got the chance to see the film Piece of Me which follows the story of 8-year-old Dylan and his elderly friend Mrs. Brooks who is slowly losing her memory to Alzheimer’s, from the very second that you see Dylan pop up on the screen playing with his board game your heart will get full of happiness and joy as we get introduced to Mrs. Brooks who will warm anyone’s heart with her humorous yet soft tender personality that will remind us of our elderly friends and loved ones with her tender way of looking at life although she is slowly losing her memory she carries herself with a positive attitude and tries to tell Dylan’s stories about her childhood as Dylan connects with her.
Throughout this phenomenal film, we see a lot of moments that represent friendship and willpower, for example, in the middle of the film Dylan and Mrs. Brooks decided to dance together and we see the powerful connection of willpower between them and the love that will make anyone cry tears of happiness and joy at the emotional message behind Piece of Me like everyone, have a beautiful perspective of the world and have a good heart despite what obstacles people might face and obstacles don’t make a person less worthy of a friendship.
Piece Of Me shows the true meaning of leaving an impact on someone’s life. We also learned that it only takes one person to change your lives and the way you view your vision of the world and how you see society.
I strongly believe that Piece of Me gives us a prime example of having an open mind to loving everyone despite what people may be facing in their lifetime and creating memories with the people you come to love.
But ultimately watching Piece of Me teaches you that it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you came from, you can still make a difference in someone’s life and teach them different things and make each day an adventure if you take the time to enjoy the little things that make every day great.
I recommend this film to anyone looking for an uplifting family film that will inspire you to be that one person who makes a difference in people’s lives and most all to embrace all the little things in life.
