How doing something I didn’t want to helped me grow

Sometimes when you do things you don’t want to do it helps you grow
Over the years, I’ve faced many life challenges that forced me to do things that I didn’t want to do, but had to in order to grow as a human being.

I’ve learned the hard way that doing something you don’t want to do is how you often succeed in life. Sometimes we whine and complain about activities or tasks we have no desire to do. However, we don’t realize that these very tasks could help our future.

When I was in elementary school, I struggled with my handwriting. I required extra intervention to work on this skill, but had little success.

Finally, my mom and my teacher decided it would be best for me to use a computer to type instead of hand write everything. At first, I didn’t want to be different and practice, especially since my teacher gave me a typewriter to start. I complained and whined, and I told myself I’d never do anything that required typing as a career. I Now I look back and I laugh at the whole situation. I now type and use a computer all the time, both for work and personal use. If I could go back in time, I’d tell myself to be thankful for all the experiences that helped me grow as a person and to not fight change

and effort. You never know what the future holds or what you may learn from every task and moment.
