After giving this some thought, I decided to write about it since are recently uploaded to YouTube video about there’s not too long ago, and with World CP Day coming up, I decided to write about this topic on how I feel about CP and how it’s become a part of me.
Over the years the I must admit living with the condition such as cerebral palsy isn’t easy in fact they were many times where I often wondered how would my life have been if it weren’t for CP I often had this idea in my head of going overseas to serve this country.
But then I look at the great life I have today and say I wouldn’t change for the world I wouldn’t modify the way I live for anything, and I’m thankful for the way God made me. I may not know why he gave me Cerebral Palsy, but I’m honestly blessed to be in the body that he has given me and the experiences that I had in my life such as traveling meeting many people finding my passion for writing being a voice for people with Cerebral Palsy.
I love the way Cerebral Palsy has become apart of me, and I love the way it taught me the true meaning of strength courage and pride. It has shown me how strong of a person I’m every day I wake up look in the mirror, and I have cerebral palsy, and this is apart of me, and I’m not ashamed to say it.
Since it became a high point in my life, I’m proud of the way God has made me in a special unique way. For example, my swam fingers on my left hand – I love them so much, and I wouldn’t change it for the world because they remind me of the beautiful Swans that each of us our with Cerebral Palsy.
One day a friend asked me if you could be free from cerebral palsy, would you? And my answer was, of course, no because cerebral palsy is apart of me and I couldn’t imagine my life without it.
She looked at me like I was crazy and she said if I were you I would want to be cured in a heartbeat, so what makes you want to be trapped in the body?
What I think about my friend asked me I think to myself, yes I may have cerebral palsy, but it is a part of me, and I live life to the best of my ability regardless of the cerebral palsy or not.
I have done many things such as being a part of a softball team for people with special needs I got to copilot an airplane over the Everglades I get to travel too much different countries such as I get to travel to many different countries such as Mexico in the Bahamas.
So I love my life regardless of what people may think about my Cerebral Palsy and the way my body functions.
The way I looked at it is life is what you make it and you got to make it rock.
